Men are men no matter what country you are in. In society today, being a man can be confusing. Try doing a search on “growing up without a father figure” and you will find millions of articles about the psychological effect’s children develop when they grow up without a father figure. A father figure is more than someone who comes home at the end of the day and sits in front of a TV or computer for the rest of the night wanting to be left alone. We at Woo Family Ministry know firsthand what it’s like and want to help make a change for the current generations and those to come.
Living an authentic Christian life is key to any believers walk with Christ Jesus. We want to come alongside these men to inspire them to stand firm, remain faithful and live lives worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27).
Let’s be honest, most men would rather stuff their emotions down deep and that is not a healthy way to live. Those emotions will manifest in other ways, like drug abuse, alcohol abuse, violence, sexually, etc.
We want to come alongside existing centers and help establish safe places where men can communicate openly with one another. A place where they can be encouraged and build each other up. A place where men can learn to stand firm in their faith WITH Christ, be courageous because of that faith IN Christ and be strong for Christ (1 Corinthians 16:13).
Woo Family Ministry wants to help men grow in their relationship with God and build deep friendships with other Godly men. A natural result of this relationship is men who are spiritually stronger, husbands who lead as God intended, fathers who build up their children, families who seek Christ as the center of their lives and churches become a beacon of light to a suffering society.
